Below you will find our session options from our Maternity, Newborn, Watch Me Grow to our Standard, Deluxe, and Exclusive sessions that are typically used for a child, siblings, couples, immediate family or high school senior portrait sessions.
Maternity & Newborn

Includes:
- Session consultation for each session
- Maternity Session with 15-20 proofs to choose from, typically an hour long session
- Newborn Session with 20-30 proofs to choose from, typically 1 to 4 hours

Exclusive Session
(Saves you a minimum of $250 off ala carte prices)

- Up to 4 people or immediate family
- Up to 3 hrs of photographer's time
- Unlimited Locations (in-studio or within 25 miles of Photographer)
- 40-50 proofs to choose from
- Online Gallery to view proofs for 30 days
- 5x7 economy brag book bound and press printed book with a custom hardcover, single image printed on each page, holds up to 80 images ($350 value)
- $500 print credit
- 15% OFF Desk and Wall print orders (placed w/in 30 days)
Extended Family Session
$150
Includes:
- Extended Family group photos, as well as any other breakdowns needed, including but not limited to siblings, cousins, individual families, couples, etc.
- 1-2 hrs of photographer's time
- 1 Location (in studio or within 25 miles of photographer)
- 20-30 proofs to choose from
- Online Gallery to view proofs for 30 days
**For All Sessions: The session fee is non-refundable and due upon booking to retain your session date. In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule for a mutually agreeable date. The session fee includes a pre-session consultation with a questionnaire to share ideas and plan your session, photographer's time during the session, preparation of images for presentation, and a private online gallery. Sessions include a print credit to use towards your print and product order, digital files are NOT included.**
About your session
What to expect
Not everyone has a professional photographer take their pictures every day! To clear up some nerves and confusion, here’s what you can expect before, during, and after your session with Photography by Kari.
Before your session.
To book your session, either use the contact page above, email us or give us a call to get a date on our calendar. Once you have a date and have paid for your session fee retainer and signed the portrait agreement, we can talk about the fun stuff. We will also send you a questionnaire to fill out to get to know you a bit more and what you have in mind for your session. We are always up for going to any location that is special to you, interests you, or somehow represents your personality, so just let us know! We want your photos to be unique. We will also send out a clothing guide to help you choose what will look best for your session.
During your session.
We shoot both natural light and with off-camera flash on-location and with studio lighting in the studio. We prefer to shoot a mix of both candid and posed photos. When we meet for your session, we’ll dive right in by looking at any clothes you may have brought and quickly chat about the session. We’ll probably make a fool of ourselves trying to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We will also boss you around and tell you how to pose.
All we ask is that you are on time for your session. Being late will cut into our valuable shooting time and cut down on your final selection of images.
After your session.
When the session is over, we'll go straight home and upload your RAW images onto a computer and 3 more external hard drives as back up. A few days after your session, if our schedule allows, we will sometimes upload one or two sneak peek images onto my various social media platforms but not always. Then culling and editing of your photos will start. After editing and culling is completed, your final images are loaded into a private online gallery. A link and the access code to share with friends and family will be sent via email. You will be able to order high-quality prints and products directly from your photo gallery.
