Photographing this beautiful new family of 5 was a pleasure. I’ve been friends with Steph since grade-school (we won’t discuss how long ago that was) and Jake since college when we lived on the same floor in the dorms. And it’s always special to see how families grow and flourish, but especially so when friends give you the honor to capture these moments for them.

Their new baby girl certainly has a mind of her own and taking sleeping baby pictures was not on her to-do list. No worries, though, not all babies sleep during their sessions, we did try for several hours to get her to settle. In the end, we ended up wrapping her for most of the session as that was how she felt comfy. Love the wraps and the colors. So beautiful! And since we’ve had so much snow this year, we had to do a photo with the snowman hat, too.
