Family of 5 {SE MN Family Portrait Photographer}

This was an extra-special session because this particular family won their session during the live auction at the benefit we had for my cousin Courtney last year. Thanks so much for supporting Courtney!

We met for their session at the beautiful Forestville State Park. We had tried to get these photos in last fall, but the weather and our schedules didn’t sync. However, we ended up with a perfect day… the breeze was blowing just slightly, the sun was out but we also had a few clouds… what more can you ask for?! But we did because we got to photograph this fun family with a Mom who always organizes the best outfits for her family to wear together at their shoots.

2019 Fins & Film {SE MN Pin-Up Portrait Photographer}

Check out all the beautiful vintage pin-up models we had the privilege to take photos of the pin-ups for the Fins and Films event in Spring Valley, MN. All these ladies participated in the runway show and competed to be the cover of next year’s calendar. Some of the ladies had their hair and makeup completed by the talented ladies at Chateau de Chic, if you’d like an August 2019-July 2020 calendar featuring the models from the 2018 Fins and Films runway show, they can be purchased at Chateau de Chic, located in downtown Spring Valley, MN. All the proceeds from the calendar sales go to helping make the event Fins and Films possible.

Be You {SE MN Childrens Portrait Photographer}

About 10 years ago, I did a senior portrait of a girl in her prom dress in a dugout with her softball gear (still one of my favorite photos, I will share it at the bottom of this post) then this spring another photographer viral taking photos of her daughter to show her and other girls they didn’t need to choose. They can be girly and sporty. They can be whatever they want to be.

Since then my cousin and I had been planning her shoot. Here’s the result…

Superhero Mr. B {SE MN Children’s Portrait Photographer}

I love creating custom photography sessions for my clients that match their creative vision and this superhero session was SUCH A BLAST! Mr. B was excited about photos and had an amazing superhero narrative in his head fighting off the bad guys during the session. I met him and his family downtown Rochester, MN which served as a perfect backdrop for this session. After Mr. B was done eliminating any bad guys we encountered, we were able to fit in some family portraits as well.
