Snow Puppy {Rochester MN Dog Portrait Photographer}

I went outside tonight with our almost 5-month Black English Labrador puppy as the sun was setting. Right away, I noticed how the sun was reflecting on the snow that fell this am. The colors were so pretty. So I ran back inside to grab my camera to grab some photos hoping to get some photos of Maverick. However, Maverick had other ideas in mind and only went to the spot I needed to get the color with him one time. But he was so cute with the snow on his nose, I had to grab a few more photos of him.

Snow {Southeast Minnesota Baby Portrait Photographer}

Today, I’ve been working on editing while Southeast Minnesota has been in a blizzard warning for most of the day. While editing, I learned something new when taking a break. I’ve seen them done many times by other photographers but had never tried it. I was surprised by how easy it was to do. Check it out below….

9 Months {Spring Valley MN Portrait Photographer}

For B’s 9-month portrait session, we utilized downtown Spring Valley, MN. He had an S&S Bait Shop shirt, so we headed over to get some photos of him outside of the shop. B wasn’t really into getting photos taken that day as it was very humid outside. So we rescheduled. The next time his big brothers came along for the shoot. They were so helpful pulling the wagon of stuff and helping get B to smile. Chateau de Chic’s mural painted by Andrea Hindt made the perfect backdrop for the photos with the vintage hot rod peddle car.
Tomorrow we get to do his final session in his Watch Me Grow session, his 1-year portrait session. Love getting to watch these little ones grow over the entire year of sessions.

Rain to Sunshine {Southeast MN Children’s Portrait Photographer}

Miss N’s session was a dream! I was not surprised as I have photographed her since she as a year old and has always rocked her sessions. However, the day started out with lots of rain and I mean it rained all day long. We almost canceled due to rainy weather.  Her Mom and I were so close to calling it but decided to take a chance.  And in true southeast Minnesota norm, the skies parted and the sunset was glorious!

Brother and Sister {Wykoff MN Sibling Portrait Photographer}

What adorable siblings I got to photograph in Wykoff, MN. There is something so sweet and unique about the love between a brother and sister. They tease each other and kid around. They might even have an argument or two just as all siblings will. But, hey adore the other in such a lovely way. That is certainly what I have always seen over the years of photographing this brother and sister duo.

A funny tidbit about this session, we forgot our bench in Wykoff overnight. Neither my assistant, Andrea, nor I remembered until the next day on our way to another shoot. But Wykoff, being the wonderful small town it is, it was still there so, Corinna, the senior we featured here the other day, went and grabbed it for us. Thanks, Corinna! 🙂
