Black Lab in Tulips {Southeast Minnesota Dog Photographer}

Last weekend we were able to get outside for a session and will again this weekend. ? So nice to be back doing outdoors portrait sessions. The grass is so vibrant, the trees are starting to fill out, spring flowers are blooming…. so pretty.

This morning I took our dog, Maverick, out for a walk and noticed our tulips were nearing the end of their bloom time. So I went inside and grabbed my camera and had Maverick pose for a few photos for me before the tulips are gone until next year. He has learned that me grabbing my camera means I am either going outside or am leaving in my vehicle (and he may get to go with), so he gets very excited. I guess getting some treats to pose for some photos isn’t so bad. ?

Maternity Session with a Dog {SE Minnesota Maternity Portrait Photographer}

This wonderful couple came to the Photography by Kari studio for an in-studio maternity session! I am so happy they brought their fur baby along for their maternity photos! These three were so sweet and so easy to photograph.

I love their outfit choices. They came dressed in the beautiful orange colored outfits and then they also used 2 maternity gowns from our studio closet.

Can’t wait to see them as a family of 4 for a newborn session very soon.

And Baby Makes 8 {Southeast Minnesota Newborn Photographer}

She’s here! It feels like just yesterday that we did photos for this family to announce they were adding another member to their family. But it was almost 6 months ago already. Another reminder that while days can feel long, time flies. Very, very quickly.

Welcome, Journey.

She is a lucky girl. Journey, entered the world in March, joining five older siblings! She’s joined a family that is so ready to love her with all the love in their hearts. And this Southeast Minnesota newborn photographer is so glad she got to witness it in action. Her older siblings and parents adore her. She may never learn to walk as someone is always wanting to hold her.

Enjoy some of my favorite images from her session. These images are true keepsakes and I know this family will treasure them forever.
