KHS Track & Field

Last week, Amanda and I headed over to Hayfield to get some photos of Track and Field for the yearbook. The weather was horrible but at least we got some shots. The last two, Amanda took with the fisheye lens. We’ve been having lots of fun with that lens this past week.

A Night Under the Stars

KHS’s Prom was last night. The gym and the kids all looked GREAT! Amanda asked me to take pictures of her boyfriend, Chris, and their friends Shannon and Jordan after Grand March. We decided to shoot in one of the parking ramps in Rochester for something different. We ended up not getting to shoot too much as we had troubles finding each other, but we got a few good ones. Here are few of them all glammed up….

Joel’s Outdoor Session

We had a great time at this Senior Session—despite the cold wind we dealt with! We used his home as the setting for his outdoor session. I love it when seniors do that! I was also able to play with a lens I have rented, it’s called a fish eye and is an extremely wide angle lens that distorts part of the image to almost look semicircular. I used it on the tractor shot. It’s not an everyday lens but it is fun and unique. Also, my assistant, Amanda, took the shot in the grass with his home in the background. How good is she? I love that shot!

Joel’s Senior Session

Is Spring ever coming back? We shot Joel’s senior portraits last night, and had planned to do some outdoors as well. However, none of us wanted to brave the winterish April weather we had yesterday, so we opted to just stay indoors. Look for some from his outdoor session later this week.
