This wonderful couple came to the Photography by Kari studio for an in-studio maternity session! I am so happy they brought their fur baby along for their maternity photos! These three were so sweet and so easy to photograph.

I love their outfit choices. They came dressed in the beautiful orange colored outfits and then they also used 2 maternity gowns from our studio closet.

Can’t wait to see them as a family of 4 for a newborn session very soon.

And Baby Makes 8 {Southeast Minnesota Newborn Photographer}

She’s here! It feels like just yesterday that we did photos for this family to announce they were adding another member to their family. But it was almost 6 months ago already. Another reminder that while days can feel long, time flies. Very, very quickly.

Welcome, Journey.

She is a lucky girl. Journey, entered the world in March, joining five older siblings! She’s joined a family that is so ready to love her with all the love in their hearts. And this Southeast Minnesota newborn photographer is so glad she got to witness it in action. Her older siblings and parents adore her. She may never learn to walk as someone is always wanting to hold her.

Enjoy some of my favorite images from her session. These images are true keepsakes and I know this family will treasure them forever.

Puppy Portraits {Rochester MN Area Dog Photographer}

When your cousin gets a puppy and asks if we can do a newborn puppy portrait session, the answer is an astounding YES! ? Rylee and I were so excited to do these photos. I mean who doesn’t love pictures of a puppy. There is something about a little puppy that makes my heart melt.

I simply love a newborn puppy photo session. I so wanted to do a session like this when we got our dog, Maverick, but we got him at the end of October and we were just too busy with fall and holiday sessions. But am so glad we were able to capture these of Berkley for Courtney because puppies grow so quickly that we sometimes forget the playful puppy stage, complete with cute faces, adorable paws, round bellies, and all the naps they take.

If you’re planning to get a new furry family member, consider planning your pet photography around the time you bring the new puppy home. I’d love to capture your beautiful little puppy and the beginning stages of their life. It’s fun to capture them as puppies and then again, once they’ve grown up a little.
