This family has been really fun to watch grow. I photographed Mom’s senior portraits when she worked with me as an assistant, baby K’s big brother when he was a baby, and big sister when she was a newborn. Needless to say, this gorgeous family did not disappoint! From the color choices to incorporating their new puppy and Dad’s motorcycle I’m in love with everything about this session.
I love so many of the photos from his session…the smiles, baby k’s eye contact, and the puppy Zeus…. So perfect!

The lab where these took place is having some website issues, but as soon as we can see the other winners, I will post them here, too. Congratulations, everyone! Thanks for participating and voting! =)
And since we did not do the local portion of the Pawsitively Adorable as it was mostly my assistant’s dogs and family pets, and I had not posted the Pawsitively Adorable images, these are the other images we submitted. So they each received a 16×20 print from their session.
I typically have always just done a Halloween composite of Maverick or a simple photo with his favorite Wüfers Halloween treats, but this year I decided to also dress him up. His name came from both the mascot at the college I attended and one of my favorite movies, Top Gun, I had to turn him into Top Gun Maverick since the movie came out this year. I got him a bandana from Etsy made out of a flight suit and then got an American flag patch, a talk to me Goose patch, a Top Gun patch, and a Maverick patch to add to it. Then of course had to get him some aviator sunglasses, too.
Happy Halloween from Maverick and all of us at Photography by Kari. Hope your day is full of good times and LOTS of good treats! Also, thanks to my assistant, Gavin, for helping me take Maverick’s Halloween photos after we finished up doing photos for a senior session.

Erin’s summer senior portrait session was such fun! Erin is so sweet and gorgeous and also such a kind person. I’m blessed with the people I work with and get to know in this business!!
We started her session thinking we had about an hour or 2 before the rain would start, but Mother Nature down poured on us as we were finishing up our first spot. So we then headed to the studio to dry off and to do Erin’s indoor senior portraits and then rescheduled her outdoor photos for later in the week.
I loved that we got to capture her at her grandmother’s home and with her late grandfather’s favorite flowers and with his favorite candy, Dum Dum suckers, too. The flowers had bloomed the week of her session and looked absolutely perfect for her session. Interesting how stuff like that works out so perfectly. ?
Enjoy some of my favorites from Erin’s senior portrait photo session.
